happy home and fruit time!

Guess what, we moved! After a very long month of lots of commuting and working and packing and schooling by every member of the Streator family parents included we successfully moved in. Now I'm just spending the next week or so unpacking. It takes a long time! I worked from about 9-3 yesterday and all i got done was the kitchen and parts of the bedroom and bathroom. As you can tell by this blog post I'm writing, I'm not quite ready to start it all over again. Our new place is so great thanks to Jay and Sarah working so hard to get it ready! I love love love it and its so nice having so much room. Did I mention our last place was about the size of the living room in our new one?? Ok so that's an exaggeration but you get the idea. I'll try and put some pictures up when it's all unpacked and pretty looking.
180 topic switch: Have I ever mentioned how much I love fruit? Well I do, and I was so busy this last month I pretty much forgot that it's almost/ already is fruit season! Yesterday I went to the grocery store and I noticed there was tons and tons of delicious fruit out. I got so excited i ran around grabbing bag after bag of fruit. Unfortunately i live with a husband who doesn't really eat it so I guess I'm on my own eating massive amounts of fruit. I sort of overdid it and its not quite warm enough outside to crave fruit yet so i might have to force myself to eat it all. However last night I made some whipped cream and cut up strawberries and bananas in it and we both enjoyed the first of many summer fruit treats. Ok it's only spring and it's like 40 degrees outside and snowing but still, I enjoyed a summer treat. Is any body else like me in the summer that it's too hot to eat and i don't want to eat anything but fruit and salad? Apparently I'm weird in that aspect but all summer long I complain that its too hot to eat. This is where my love affair with fruit comes in. I don't know why I'm even writing about summer because its still a good 2 months away but in case you care, there are my summer eating habits. Maybe its just because I'm not ready to start working again. What's that your telling me? I have to  get up and go unpack? Ok, I will, thanks blog readers for getting me up and working :) (and yes that was an imaginary conversation between you and me but hey, i need all the motivation I can get)

Whit, I am the same way in the summer and pretty much year round here. I crave fruits, veggies and salad when it's warm outside and I'm constantly buying more than it's possible for me to eat. Yummmm... I love fruit season. Also, can't wait to see pics of your new place! Post soon please!
