Hey Guess what!!!
I got a job!!!! Yay I love it so far. Its as a teller/new accounts at a local bank and its really great. I love the people. It's a lot to learn but I guess that's just any new job. We like Pocatello but there are a few things to get used to. They seriously have the sweetest playgrounds here. They are totally old school which means they are actually fun. They are the kind you played on when you were a kid before that one kid broke his leg on the playground and they had to redesign the whole thing so its boring but everyone is safe. I'm pretty sure when I get my own kid I will totally retract that entire statement because I don't want them to get hurt but really you fall off once and then you learn to be careful, we all did. Anyway thats about it

You know whats great???
Sometimes I swear I should just change the title of this blog to "you know what the great thing about marriage is?" since like half of my posts start with that sentence. I honestly swear I don't walk around in a state of tra la la la all the time but seriously this one is a good one. So, you know what the great thing is about marriage??? You magically get a whole other family! Not just my marriage but when my brother got married I got a whole new family to get to know and when my sister got married I got another whole family to know and love and I got Sunday dinners and parties and this whole group of people I never would have met and that would just be sad. Then when I got married I got the best family ever! Not just that but my new sister in law's family too. How great is it that you meet all these people and you instantly become part of their family. Then you get new aunts and uncles and cousins and a grandma and other grandparents to meet in the afterlife. The Streators introduced me to a whole new world of fun things I never thought about, four wheeling, trailer camping, lots more water skiing, and just all the fun times we've had. It's so great that you get to combine your family traditions and make your own new ones. Or you get to have two family traditions you're not quite sure what you will do with yet, like this last Christmas I came down to a stocking full of wrapped items, Brandon came down to a stocking with nothing wrapped, we looked at each other and started laughing wondering what in the world the other person had done.... Apparently they wrap their stocking items, we leave them open so you can get your stocking first and slowly pull out all the items one by one. We will have to see what we decide to do with that tradition.
So isn't that a great thing about marriage???? I feel so very blessed that I love my in-law's so much. I know not everyone gets that when they get married but I am very lucky. My in law's are so helpful, love to have fun, kind and caring and everything a great family should be. At first I was a little shocked at the things my in laws do thinking but that's not how we do it in my family.... but that only lasted a little when I was first adjusting to the whole thing, once you let that go its so great to find all these new ways you can do things. This is what I was thinking about last night when I couldn't sleep for some reason. Isn't it great the people we meet just because of one acquaintance.
In other news we explored Pocatello a little this weekend. We went to the Fort Hall replica and museum which was pretty fun. Then we decided to go on a drive up into the hills and when we came back we decided to randomly drive up to the Fort Hall Casino to check it out. On the way however we saw a sign for the Bodies exhibit in Idaho Falls only thirty minutes away so we decided to pass Fort Hall and go to the exhibit. It was a really cool exhibit but it felt sort of disrespectful. I didn't realize that until we got out of there and Brandon said it felt like that. Then I thought about it and it really was. It was awesome to think about your body and see how it works but then all I could think about was some poor person being dissected and taking all of their nerves out etc. So it was interesting but sort of gross and weird. Then we went back to the Fort Hall Casino to check it out and it was what we expected. A dark smoke filled casino. We went back home and decided we'd better slow it down in the exploring because in one day we had seen 3 of the 5 attractions we wanted to see. Other than that I'm just setting up our house and job searching. No luck on the jobs yet but keep hoping.
