Holy cow when did I quit blogging? I feel like I forgot I had a blog :) I've been very busy lately working full time and keeping the house up, doing the grocery shopping etc etc. I feel like I'm always on the move but yesterday I had a whole night to myself and I didn't do anything except buy dinner (yes!) watch some tv, take a bath and take a nice night off. I had an awesome birthday! My parents came up so we could go on a trip and to our surprise Adam and Chelsea and Aspen came up for one night. We all drove over to craters of the moon and it was super cool! Then just the 4 of us continued on to Stanley and went on a very nice hike around red fish lake and spent the night in a cabin by the river then drove home on Monday (thank you Christopher Columbus for giving us a ridiculous holiday that allowed me to have a day off) I got a dress that I picked out and gave to my mom to give to me, (the joys of being an adult with a birthday) a bundt pan, a wire whisk with rubber coating so it won't scratch my teflon, two pretty spatulas, a salad spinner (finally) a pretty shirt and Brandon bought me a shared birthday present GPS since our last one got stolen. Of course I got my annual box of birthday chocolates which I think may have been one of the best ones yet!!! I tried to take a good picture with my pretty box but I ate them all before I could do that so.... ya.
This is a horrible picture taken of just my box sans chocolates because I want a birthday tradition of taking a picture, kind of a sucky one, oh well. I also bought myself this today.
Please don't judge me :) It was half off and I just really love that movie and I really love Barbies. Also please continue to be my friend or family member even though I'm 24 and buying a barbie. A few weeks ago at the Streators Michelle brought out all her barbies and we had a hay day with them. It really made me want to go find all mine because Chelsea and I have a killer Barbie collection. Side Tangent.... one time in college they were doing a Barbie bash where you were supposed to get all fired up about how Barbie creates bad body images and blah blah blah well my entry was totally in support of Barbie. I mean come on she teaches girls to aspire to big careers like doctor, vet, teacher all while looking fabulous in a mini skirt. Sure she's unrealistic but let me tell you I played Barbie almost every day of my life as soon as I was old enough and I have no body issues from it. End side tangent.
All in all it was a very great birthday I'm just still deciding what to spend my birthday money on: Options so far: legos, clothes, or save up a lot of them for a nice new violin but that may take me several birthdays and christmases so maybe not that option. In other news things are going well here. We're adjusting to the town except for the fact that tons of people smoke! Not just oh look that person smokes I'm talking full on I can't even be near you because you smell disgusting and I think I might pass out plus you look like you might die any second of rotting flesh smokers disease (whatever that may be) other than that its pretty good, we're both busy.
