Update

So with all of my lack of time lately I'm thinking of course now would be a good time to start blogging again ;). I have of course been so dedicated in the past :P. So here goes, here's attempt number who knows what to actually keep up on my blog. :)
So since 2008 I suppose there's too much to write to really keep up so I guess I'll just start from the most recent exciting news. We're engaged!!!!! YAY :) I don't think either of us saw it coming as we were pretty bent on just being friends (who hang out every single second and do everything together of course but just friends). Who would have known 4 years ago when we first met that we would now be getting married.... certainly not me! But now that it has I couldn't be happier. How lucky I am to get such an amazing guy who is everything I could ever want. Not to mention I also really need someone to reach the top shelf for me which Brandon is very skilled at. Just one of his many great traits. Of course as any girl would I've decided I just must include the engagement story for anyone that wants a little romance in their lives. I normally wouldn't be so eager to tell stories like this but I'm just so excited and can't help it :D

He completely surprised me when he proposed and I had no idea it was going to happen. I of course knew we were planning on getting engaged and we had gone ring shopping once but he was very good at surprising me with the actual thing. On Saturday February 6th he told me he was working (he lied and actually drove to Brighton to ask my dad for his permission) and that when he got off we would do some more ring shopping. When he came over he told me he really wanted to go ice skating first. Most girls would probably be very reluctant to miss ring shopping but I never pass up an opportunity to do something really fun so I agreed whole heartedly. We went to the out door ice rink at the park and I had the brilliant idea to invite my sister and brother in law. Brandon made a quick save and talked me out of by saying we wouldn't be too long so it wouldn't be worth making them come all the way out. When we got out on the ice it was far too warm and all slushy and sad. As I wasn't having an easy time skating (and I have to have my skating conditions great) and I did want to go ring shopping I kept insisting that we leave. Brandon kept insisting that we stay much to my chagrin, but I was having fun so we kept going. Finally, I told him I wanted to leave and I skated off. After I was almost off the rink I looked back and he was standing very dejectedly with puppy eyes and a very sad face. I skated back very confused as to why he wanted to keep going but we kept skating. Then suddenly he started his proposal speech and I, unaware what it was, interrupted him and started telling him about how much I liked him too (DUH!). Finally he grabbed me plopped to his knees, which I would imagine was rather tough in skates, blurted out the same speech he was previously trying to give and asked me to marry him. I think I was so shocked it took me a second to respond because I had no clue it was coming. I of course said a big yes and then we skated around a few more times probably looking like total dorks with big huge grins on our faces. Next up was a banana split at the Bluebird amongst constant smiles and goofy giddy giggles.

So there it is. A great proposal I would say. Well I guess thats enough cheesy romance for now :)
